‘Gaynor Cup’

BNSW is seeking Expressions Of Interest from coaches wishing to develop junior female players as part of the Gaynor Cup competition. Successful coaches will be appointed to a specific team for the duration of the competition and will be expected to assist with player trials.

Coaches will require a current Level 2, 3 or 4 NCAS Certificate and current WWCC Certificate.

GAYNOR CUP DETAILS

Gaynor Cup competitions are a Super Series format of games for junior female players only. BNSW will run trials for players with the assistance of team coaches, teams will be drafted from the players attending trials.

Trials will be run at Blacktown International Sports Park on Tuesday 15 August and Thursday 17 August- Each trial will require all players to arrive by 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start.

(Early arrival is needed for Trial Bib distribution and to get sizing for playing shirt if selected).

TWO COMPETITIONS

Gaynor Cup Youth Womens

Players must have a date of birth between January 2002 and August 2004 (Age group is similar to Youth Womens national Championships)

Diamond Size - Pitch 54ft Bases 80ft

Players - 12 players per team

Game - Line Up will bat through all players present and may not change throughout the game. Fielding Substitutions are unlimited (Assist in warming up pitching and sharing playing time). With all players in batting line up, no pinch runners will be allowed including catchers (have players ready to warm up pitcher when innings change over).

Gaynor Cup Rookies

Players must have a date of birth between September 2004 and August 2007 (League Age 11-13)

Diamond Size - Pitch 50ft Bases 70ft

Players - 12 players per team

Game - Line Up will bat through all players present and may not change throughout the game. Fielding Substitutions are unlimited (Assist in warming up pitching and sharing playing time). With all players in batting line up, no pinch runners will be allowed including catchers (have players ready to warm up pitcher when innings change over).

GENERAL INFORMATION

Game Dates

October 8 & 22, November 5 & 22, December 3 & 17.

Game Times

All games will begin at 8:45am when possible.

Venues

Venues will vary with no Gaynor Cup teams having a home field, also dependent on how many teams are selected along with games being scheduled prior to Shipley and Balfour Cup games (State Cup Format).

Cost

There will be no cost to coaches of Gaynor Cup teams. Official team coaches will receive a team Cap and shirt.

Commitment

All players selected for Gaynor Cup teams will be expected to attend all scheduled games.

Gaynor Cup teams will not be training together outside of the scheduled game days.
